Immanuel Lutheran Church

A young seminary graduate, Carl F. Schmid, was installed as a mission pastor in Albuquerque in 1914 and served until 1960. Immanuel’s current church building was dedicated in 1918. Pastor Kurt Brink served 1960-1982. Pastor Randy Walquist was installed in July 1983. God has richly blessed us under the guidance of these three men.

Immanuel is part of the Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod. With more than 2.5 million baptized members, the LCMS is the 11th largest church body in North America and enjoys fellowship with some 30 other Lutheran bodies worldwide.

Immanuel is a Christ-centered, Bible-based family of believers whose greatest desire is to share the Good News of Jesus and His love with everyone we meet. There’s much that won’t fit in a brochure.
