Sola Gratia – Grace Alone

Grace is when God gives us what we do not deserve. In a culture that works on merit, that can be difficult for us to accept! Yet, even if grace goes against our cultural senses, it is a deep spiritual need – for each and every one of us.

Faith Alone

They way in which we receive God’s grace is through faith. We trust that God wants to forgive and save us. If we seek to work for what God has given, we are saying that God’s work is not enough. Do we trust God’s work so completely that we do not try to add to it or augment it?

Who’s the Greatest?

When the Disciples asked Jesus who the Greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven was, they got more than they bargained for in Jesus’ answer. Jesus radically shifts the idea of greatness, to be about Him, Who He is, and What He has done, instead of being about us. Incredibly, we find that the Greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven are those who come with Nothing! When we have nothing, Jesus is our everything!

Debt Collection

Jesus is our forgiving King. He has forgiven us a remarkable debt. Not only has he forgiven us, but he has also freed us to be forgivers of others! Every time we forgiven someone in Jesus’ name, we celebrate His forgivness for us!

Joining Jesus on His Mission

Riding high on the proclamation of Peter–that Jesus is the Son of God–the disciples again hit a brick wall, when Peter tries to fit Jesus, and His mission, into a man-made mold of who Jesus should be. Jesus has greater plans for His mission as Savior of the world, than the disciples could ever fathom.

God has given each and every one of us gifts in this life. We have the opportunity use our gifts to benefit the people around us – which honors God!

Forgiveness – Center of the Christian Life

Because of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, through faith in him, we have the opportunity to live a Christian Life, that finds at it’s center forgiveness. The incredible thing, is that this forgiveness is not based on our worthiness to be forgiven, or our willingness and ability to forgive others. This life of forgiveness, finds a foundation, in the forgiveness that Jesus has won for us!
