Our Latest Sermon

Unwrapped 1 – A Shady Family Tree

This week, as we begin our Advent sermon series, we will take a look at how Matthew begins his Gospel account of Jesus’ life. Matthew begins with a genealogy of Jesus, full of unworthy, unexpected, undeserving people. Matthew’s directs us to understand that sinners are not just a point of Jesus’ story, they’re the point of Jesus story!

Forgiveness – Center of the Christian Life

Because of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, through faith in him, we have the opportunity to live a Christian Life, that finds at it’s center forgiveness. The incredible thing, is that this forgiveness is not based on our worthiness to be forgiven, or our willingness and ability to forgive others. This life of forgiveness, finds a foundation, in the forgiveness that Jesus has won for us!

Thanksgiving Post-Game

This weekend in our Thanksgiving Post-Game worship we are going to have an opportunity to “digest” the blessings we were thankful for this past Thursday on Thanksgiving. As we enter into a discontent time of year, full of expectations we place upon ourselves, Paul gives us words of peace, that lead us to be content in any, and all circumstances.

Thanksgiving Pre-Game

In our Pre-Game Thanksgiving celebration this weekend in worship, we have the opportunity to prepare ourselves to be thankful this week. In the midst of so much pain, suffering, and uncertainty about the things going on around us, Paul encourages us to let the Peace of God guard our hearts and minds in Jesus Christ! Through Paul’s words in Philippians 4, we have a way to feed our peace, as we move into he holidays!

In Hope

In the midst of the pain and turmoil of this world, Christians have a unique and influential perspective. We are pained to hear of the tragedy in Sutherland Springs, TX. At times, sin and death seem to still rule over us. As Christians, it is OK for us to grieve the suffering of this life. But we do not grieve as those who have no hope. In hope, we look forward to the day that Jesus will return, raise our broken bodies in perfection, and enable us to live in His presence for all eternity!
